Fragrance, According to Dosha

Fragrance, According to Dosha

Ayurveda fragrance begins with a simple idea: how we feel is shaped by balance. In Indian
tradition, Ayurveda speaks of three doshas — vata, pitta and kapha — as patterns of energy,
temperament and tendency. The Ayurveda - The Dosha Therapy collection translates that
world into scent, ritual and atmosphere through candles, reed diffusers, room fresheners,
essential oil blends, ittar, solid perfumes and incense.

Vata, Pitta and Kapha as Moods

Vata is often associated with air and movement. Think lightness, quick thoughts, dry winds,
restlessness and change. A vata-inspired fragrance mood may feel warming, grounding and comforting, with notes that bring the senses back to the body.

Pitta is associated with fire and intensity. It can feel sharp, focused, warm and driven. A pitta- inspired scent mood may lean cooling, soothing or floral, helping the room feel calmer and less heated.

Kapha is associated with earth and water. It can feel steady, slow, soft and heavy. A kapha-
inspired fragrance mood may be brighter, fresher or more energising, giving the space a sense of lift.

This is not about diagnosing yourself. It is a sensory way to understand mood. Some days
need calm, some need freshness, some need grounding. Ayurveda gives a beautiful language for those shifts.

    Indian Rituals, Made Modern

The visual language of this collection carries a clear Indian influence. The jaali-inspired
foiling pattern, jewel-toned accents and decorative labels bring in a sense of heritage without making the products feel old-fashioned. The result is warm, premium and rooted in India, but still suitable for contemporary homes.

The candle range feels especially rich, with ombré glass, gold detailing and blends inspired
by dosha moods. Coconut butter and soy wax add a creamy, indulgent base to the ritual. The candle is not only for fragrance — it is for creating a pause at the end of the day.

The reed diffusers and room fresheners are easier everyday formats. They work well in living rooms, bedrooms, entrances and workspaces where the fragrance should be present but not demanding. A diffuser gives a steady background mood; a spray gives an immediate shift.

Ittar, Solid Perfume and Essential Oils

Ayurveda also works beautifully as personal fragrance. Ittar has a long association with
Indian perfumery — rich, intimate and close to the skin. It is applied in tiny amounts and
worn as a quiet signature rather than a cloud of scent. In this collection, the ittar format brings a more traditional, precious feeling.

Solid perfumes offer another intimate format. Made with a balm-like base such as beeswax
and butters, they are easy to carry and apply. They are ideal for wrists, pulse points and
moments when you want fragrance to stay close.

Essential oils and blends add a more flexible ritual. They can be used with suitable burners or diffusers, depending on the format and usage instructions. The key is moderation. A few
drops can shape the mood of a space, especially when paired with soft light, warm water, a
ceramic burner or an evening wind-down routine.

    Incense and the Lotus Burner

The incense formats in the Ayurveda collection bring the ritual element forward. The hanging lotus-style metal burner gives the range a ceremonial feel without needing a heavy temple setting. It looks decorative, giftable and rooted in Indian craft language.

Use incense when you want a distinct beginning and end to a moment: before meditation,
after cleaning a room, during prayer, while journaling, or when resetting the mood of the
home. Light the cone or stick safely, place it in the correct holder, and keep it away from
    fabric, children, pets and airflow.

    Choosing by Feeling

Choose vata-inspired fragrances when the room needs warmth and steadiness. Choose pitta-inspired fragrances when the mood needs cooling and softness. Choose kapha-inspired fragrances when the space needs brightness, movement and freshness.

The beauty of Ayurveda - The Dosha Therapy is that it does not treat fragrance as decoration alone. It treats it as atmosphere, personal ritual and emotional texture. A candle can soften a room. An ittar can become part of dressing. A diffuser can create continuity. Incense can mark a transition.

In that sense, the collection feels both ancient and modern. It borrows the language of
Ayurveda, but uses it in a way that fits today’s homes — beautiful objects, thoughtful scent, and rituals that can be as small as lighting a candle or as intentional as preparing a quiet evening for yourself.
